What is Egg Storage?

Egg storage is storage of a unfertilized egg in liquid nitrogen for future use. It is stored through cryopreservation, a process where cells  are preserved by cooling to very low temperatures at  −196 °C using liquid nitrogen. At low enough temperatures,  chemical activity which might cause damage to the biological material in question is effectively stopped.

Who considers fertility preservation?

  • Couples concerned about fertility in the future
  • Clients in high risk professions: police officer, firefighter, active military personnel
  • Transgender Patients
  • Patients currently undergoing Invitro Fertilization (IVF)
  • Cancer Patients

Cryopoint Fertility Group serves as a facility where we can safely store your egg samples long term.
